Marketing Tips for a Successful Take-Back Program
Create a media campaign that informs the public on the purchase of the unit and its availability:
Invite your local news (both television and newspaper) to cover the launch of the prescription drug collection program, with city leaders and police officers in attendance.
Promote the MedReturn Unit via flyers posted in local pharmacies, libraries, senior citizen centers and more.
Download an editable MedReturn flyer, where you can add your own location, availability, list of accepted medications and contact information, then print your own flyers.
Promote the unit through school drug education programs and newsletters
Use community and service organization newsletters and web sites to promote the drug take back program

LOCAL BUSINESSES can be approached to sponsor or underwrite the cost of a MedReturn Drug Collection Unit.
SERVICE CLUBS can solicit donations and organize fundraisers to create awareness and support the need for these programs.
